Will iTrent support the new Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) regulations?

The UK Government has announced new regulations that mean people advised to self-isolate due to COVID-19 Coronavirus will be entitled to SSP from the first day (instead of the fourth) of absences beginning on or after 13th March 2020.

There will be a hotfix for iTrent versions 10.34.01 and 10.35.00 available when the legislation is passed, which will mean that SSP can be calculated from the first day of absence.

This will be done for all absences related to the Coronavirus. These are marked with the text COVID-19. We will ship a standard COVID-19 absence reason, but you can create your own if you wish. In addition, you can add extra text after the 'COVID-19'. For example, 'COVID-19 self-isolation' You can have multiple absence reasons relating to COVID-19, as long as they start with COVID-19, processing from day 1 of the absence will be performed.


How can iTrent help me update my employees?

You can add the message to the Company News carousel on ESS and MSS so your employees are kept up-to-date of any business activities or messages.


How can I report an issue I’m having with iTrent?

MHR is operating “Business as Usual”, therefore you can report / discuss any issue you have through your usual channels, i.e. your Customer Relationship Manager or the Service Desk, or get in touch via our website. If you wish to ensure you are covered why don’t you check you are signed up to our iTrent Assist Programme.


Can I still book a training course?

Absolutely. You can still book training and please contact your Project Manager, Customer Relationship Manager, or to discuss your preferred dates.


How do I keep up to date with the latest changes in the Republic of Ireland for COVID-19?

There is a Republic of Ireland COVID-19 news article available on ServiceCloud which is updated as and when changes happen.  The article contains guidance and useful links along with how we will support you in terms of iTrent processes.

I haven’t switched to Electric yet and now I’m struggling to because of the impact Coronavirus is having on my employees. What should I do?

We are delaying the mandatory switch over to iTrent Electric until 31st May 2020. If you wish to delay the switch over to Electric happening automatically, you must be running Release 10.34.01 plus all patches or Release 10.35.00, and you must install hotfix 203742 no later than 31st March 2020. To reiterate, if you do nothing then your iTrent will automatically switch over to Electric on the 1st April.

If MHR is hosting your iTrent environment and you wish to delay your switch over to Electric, then please log into Service Cloud to arrange your Patch installation.  If you are hosting iTrent on your own servers, please download the hotfix from Service Cloud and install in the usual manner.

However, if you wish to continue with your Electric migration, then MHR is here to support you. If you require assistance, or have any questions about this notice, then please contact your Customer Relationship Manager.


I have a training course booked on-site. What will happen?

We are organised to run training remotely. Our Training Team should have already contacted you about ensuring we discuss what technology you would prefer to use for your remote training course. If we have not contacted you then please contact our training team, or your Project Manager or our training email: to arrange a suitable date.


I am booked to attend training on a public course at Ruddington Hall. What will happen?

All public courses will now be ran as remote training sessions. You will be contacted by our Training Team or your Project Manager to provide you with more information about this. We are reviewing courses that are scheduled post-April and will deal with these accordingly as we receive more information about the current situation.
